*This date is as noted by Turner; however, there is little likelihood the Ninth Michigan Calvary traveled from Phillip's Crossroads to Wadesboro in one day.

On March 4, 1865, the 9th Michigan Cavalry Regiment was noted as being in Wadesboro, North Carolina (Turner 3-4). Depending on the route taken, the distance between Wadesboro and the regiment’s last noted movement in Phillip’s Crossroads is 166+ miles (Google Maps).
